most nights of the week musical entertainment in Adelaide can be found

The renovated National Bank building is a trendy up market bar called
"The Bank" and it has bands & dj entertainment most
nights. along with a good selection of fine beers and wines.
A short walk west up Tynte Street will get you to the Daniel O'Connell
Irish Pub, at 165 Tynte St North Adelaide. This fine old hotel has
a large very popular restaurant to the rear overlooking a magnificent
150 year old Pepper Tree, and there are bands in the front bar on
the weekends.
The Dan can also provide dining on it's upstairs balcony. The wine
list is outstanding.
Around
the corner from the western end of Tynte Street is Peter & Polly
Howell's historic Wellington Hotel located in Wellington Square, North
Adelaide. Freshly renovated with 30 Australian beers on tap.
There is a band at "The Welly" on friday nights and this
hotel has a great outlook onto Wellington Square and is an ideal place
for an evening meal while you watch the sunset and the world go by.

The Governor Hindmarsh - A Top Venue in Adelaide
for Bands
Location: Port Road across from The Adelaide Entertainment
Center.
This is about a 8-10 minute Taxi ride from the Adelaide G.P.O. and
about a five minute trip by car from North Adelaide.
Most Fridays and Saturdays the back room at the Governor Hindmarsh
is alive with the sounds of top Australian and International music
and performers. There are smaller bands and solo performers in the
front bar. Later on Friday night around 9pm it is folk music night.

Ronnie
who left Adelaide about 10 years ago to work in Europe comes back
to Australia once a year to catch up with family and friends in Adelaide
and also at Edithburgh on the Yorke Peninsula.
I
was one of the lucky ones to see her very entertaining and amazing
one woman show.
